Welcome Students

Hayley Rutherford (Left) and Valerie Massel (Right)

Occupations

Hayley: MSc. Candidate (University of Saskatchewan)

Valerie: MSc. Candidate (University of Guelph)

How Did We End Up Here?

We completed our degrees (BSc. Food Science) at the University of Guelph and were actively involved in the Food Science Club; Valerie as College Royal Representative and Hayley as the CIFST Representative. We were approached to take on this shared position to improve the CIFST experience for students.

Our Mission

Our experience being involved in our undergraduate food science community was phenomenal and we hope to extend that feeling of community to food science students across the country.

Baby Steps

We’ve started up a (mostly) bimonthly newsletter that aims to showcase food science clubs and individuals from different institutions. You can become a fan of CIFST Student Affairs on Facebook and you can also follow us on Twitter @CIFSTStudents.

Welcome to the Student Affairs Page!

We’re on Twitter and Facebook so join us there for frequent updates, discussions and event postings.
