Throughout the year, the Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST), partners with its member volunteers and stakeholders to develop initiatives to help generate awareness around food science and technology and to promote food science professionals. This is a big investment.
We are all one association! CIFST National provides the necessary means and support that make it possible for our regional sections to deliver their events at the local level. But, contrary to popular belief, the national association does not financially benefit from local section events such as table tops and golf tournaments. In fact, CIFST manages a relatively small budget derived from membership and advertising revenues to cover the expense of managing programs that are national in scope. Here is a snapshot of what we have accomplished in 2023. When you consider our limited resources, we are creative and effective, but we still require the support of our sponsor partners.
CIFST has developed an Annual Corporate Sponsorship program that supports CIFST and creates value for our sponsor partners. We hope you will consider investing in the association’s future which will ultimately benefit the food science profession.
