Opportunities to present at CIFST’s 2019 national conference are now available. Recently renamed the Canadian Food Summit, the theme of next year’s event is Sustainable Innovation.

Abstracts and proposals to be an official presenter at the 2019 Canadian Food Summit are currently wanted addressing relevant topics and themes including emerging ingredients, nutrition and health, food processing, consumer attitudes, global food security, food safety, sustainable food systems and food policy. All submissions will be considered and can be made online.


CIFST’s 2019 Canadian Food Summit will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase research and the ideas of industry thought leaders to Canadian food scientists, food and beverage sector partners and the brightest food science students from across the country. It’s also a forum to network among peers and to develop new collaborative relationships.

The 2019 Canadian Food Summit is taking place from May 22 to 24 at the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
