Call for Abstracts
Call for abstracts for the 2026 Canadian Food Summit is now open!
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Call for Abstracts Open: Thursday, January 8, 2026
- Abstract Submission Deadline: Thursday, March 12, 2026
- Submitters to be Notified: Tuesday, April 14, 2026 (note EB reg deadline is April 24)
When submitting an abstract, you will be asked the following. Note all information must be submitted in one sitting.
- Brief presentation title (capitalize each word)
- Brief description of your presentation for marketing purposes
- 3 Learning outcomes
- A structured abstract submission, including Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion, Keywords (limit of 5)
- Conference themes (choose as many that apply)
- Presenting Author #1 – name, title, brief bio (information of the main presenter)
- Optional – Additional co-authors’ name, title, brief bio (information of any additional presenters, if applicable)
- Abstract Information. Ensure that the word count does not exceed 300 words for the body of your abstract – intro, methods, results, and conclusion.

- Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals
- Genomics
- Interfaces in Foods
- Non-Invasive Testing Methods
- Nutrition
- Processing
- Sensory Science
- Sustainable Food Systems
Important notes:
- If you are submitting more than one abstract, please submit them separately.
- Do not try to submit more than one abstract at a time; otherwise, your entry may be rejected.
- Do not submit more than one abstract with the same title and content. If your submission is not accepted as an oral presentation, it will be considered for a poster presentation.
